Gowhole Sidings - a fantastic 5 minute video filmed in 1968 just before the end of steam on BR. There is plenty of information in the narration! The two tone green diesel locomotive featured, 'Sir Daniel Gooch', a Brush Type 4 / Class 47, initially numbered D1663 was introduced into service in Feb 1965 and later re-numbered 47078 and later still 47628. The up yard with the turntable featured closed in 1969 and the whole site was dismantled in 1970 leaving only the fast lines (according to the video.) John Bingham
